Where's the CLOSEST place that one from South Texas can visit in April and enjoy SNOW?

if you are looking for skiing, perhaps some parts of colorado, like vail. but april is kind of late in the season for finding that kind of snow activity close to texas. but with the right altitude and mountain range, you can enjoy snow at any time of the year, there just may not be enough to ski. my family lived in vegas for two years and got to play in snow in the middle of the summer up on mt. charleston. depends on how far you want to go and what you want to use the snow for.
