After graduation from college, I plan on moving to Tx, because I am sick of shoveling, scraping and it just being cold. lol

You won't have to shovel snow or scrape ice in Houston. The winters are fairly mild. It does freeze every now and then, but only snows once in a blue moon. It not a bad place to live. Cost of living is reasonable and people are great as long as you don't try to compare everything to someplace else all the time.

Houston get pretty cold during the winter, but I wouldn't compare it to up north. We don't get any snow in Houston, but I do believe last year Dallas got a lot of snow. Houston get cold fronts during October and November that will last for about a week or so, then it will get back to it's normal "winter" weather which is about 60 or 70 degrees, maybe. It doesn't get REALLY cold until around the end of December or in January.

Houston has a great winter! For the past month the low has been in the low 40's, like yesterday it was 41! But it doesn't really snow here(becasue of the low elevation), the last time it snowed was Christmas Eve. around midnight. To us that is a treat!
It starts getting really cold near Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, and Mar. The other months its just "chilly."

January is the coldest & it can get into the 30's but we rarely have snow & even if we do it's minor flurries. I think it's too damn hot sometimes (once 70 on X mas day) BUT you will not have to worry about any shoveling snow here. Just raking leaves lol!
well you will still have to shovel and scrap some things but it won't be snow....lol...sorry couldn't resist. We get a little cold for a few days out of the months of Dec, Jan and Feb but we have also been known to have 85 degrees on Christmas day. Our weather (cold) doesn't stick around for long and were back in the hot weather before you know it.
