Public Transit here in Houston is ok.
Several routes to get to where you need to go,
They after over 20 Park and Ride Lots, with buses going towards Downtown, with connection on the MetroRail downtown to get towards TMC/Reliant Park.

besides the buses that run close to the downtown area, and having your own car, there is a light rail tram that runs in downtown. its great for getting around in that area.
