Rockets-Lakers games over the last few years have always been tough. I knew this series would be a battle because Artest and Battier play good defense against Kobe and if they could wear him down they have a chance to win the series. The Lakers-Rockets games this year have been very close and competitve and it seems like the Rockets peaked at the right time heading into the playoffs. The Rockets defense is the reason why I knew they'd be an alot tougher matchup for the Lakers than the Blazers. Rockets are an underrated defensive team and can lock anybody down at anytime with two of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA(Artest and Battier) on the same team. Lakers will need to get buckets inside if they are going to be successful in the series. The Rockets outside defense will make it hard for the Lakers to score on the perimeter and if the Lakers other than Kobe Bryant keep settling for tough perimeter shots they will have alot of problems. Yao Ming is playing really well right now and historically big man lead teams far in the playoffs(Ewing,Malone, and Olajuan all had at least 2 NBA finals appearances). Lakers will need some kind of answer downlow against Yao Ming as well. BQ- I think the Celtics are because they are a poised vetran championship team. The Lakers tend to show a lack of focus at times, and lack the instinct a championship team has. The Celtics in the series against the Bulls showed they have the poise to overcome deficits and adversity. I don't think Boston will win without KG,and the Lakers have a better chance to advance but I think Boston will be more poised than the Lakers team who looks lacodazicle and panicky at times. BQ2: Yes and no. Yes because it gets you more battle tested and you will gain experience and be more prepared in tough and close games. It will make you stronger down the stretch in the sense that you are definately more battle tested and ready in a close game. I say no because if you're the favorite you give the underdog more confidence that they can play with you and beat you. Underdog teams if they beat you one team gain the ultimate confidence and no longer become intimidated by you. BQ3: To be honest I picked the Rockets at the beggining of the series and I think the Rockets lose Game 2 but take games 3 and 4 at home to gain a 3-1 lead. Rockets are tough to beat at home and I think their defense will suffocate and tighten up even more when they get to play in front of a tough home court. BQ4: If you mean Game 2 yes I think so. Game 4 is still a whiles away. At home at Staples I can't see the Lakers losing 2 games in a row. I think the Lakers will bounce back to win Game 2. If they lose they are in serious trouble but I think Phil Jackson will have them focused and ready for the next game BQ5: Haters like to hate and when the Lakers lose thats when the chance is best. Im not a Lakers hater at all, and I don't hate any team but when the Lakers lose you will see haters fly. We've seen quite a few here. DB: They were Celtics fans the other night. Im a Bulls fan and Im still here even when we lose. Those bandwagon Celtics fans from the other night are now Houston Rockets fans

Its sad that four out of the five people who answered before me had nothing good to say about Houston. Cookingpancake has a great list. Houston is a great city with plenty to do. It all depends on what your interests are. Anyone who is bored here is obviously a loser with no life

LMAO "lady person" is exactly right.

Honestly Houston does suck. The only fun things to do are listed outside of houston, such as the schillterbahn and the beaches and whatnot. Another fun thing nobody listed was the Baytown Track. On friday nights it is street night and you can watch street legal cars, trucks, and bikes race on the quarter mile track. For a little cash you can race yours too.

Take it from a local. Go take a drive to the places around houston because in the heart of it is just bad neighborhoods and graffiti. Go to an outdoor mall(if you're crazy enough to go outside in the heat), Galleria, Katy Mills Mall, get tickets to a game at Reliant Center or Minute Made Park. Go to the malls and the Galleria on a weekday for reasons that i can't say. There are more malls than I listed. Either way you would think Houston probably sucks compared to wherever you come from.

It's a sprawling, smogging, souless hellhole filled with fat rednecks. You can watch some movies or something to help the time pass. District 9 is getting pretty good reviews.

Houston sucks. There's nothing to do here. It's boring. They try to be like everybody else, but it doesn't work.
